NISAR AHMED THOKAR
Islamabad, June 20: The PaK premier Sardar Attique Ahmed Khan has warned that establishing of non-state political entities in the region would adversely affect Kashmiris’ struggle for right to self-determination besides causing serious damage to Pakistan’s interest as well as its historic stance over the issue.
“This is reason that Muslim Conference strongly opposes the idea of establishing non-state-political parties in the region”, the PaK premier made these remarks in a talk show arranged by a private TV channel here on Sunday.
Referring to Pakistan Peoples Party and Pakistan Muslim League-N he said that these parties were violating the ideology as well as the political philosophy of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah whom he said had termed Muslim Conference as the Muslim League of the region.
He said that being a disputed territory, the non-state political parties should not participate in the elections until and unless the dispute was settled on permanent basis. “Political meddling or any kind of interference into the regional politics could be harmful for Kashmir issue”, he said.
Terming Simla pact as an ill-conceived agreement he said that the Pakistan Peoples Party and its leadership has damaged Kashmir cause by reducing its scope by making it a bilateral issue between India and Pakistan and accepting the ceasefire line as line of control (LOC). “Since then the Kashmir issue is getting complex with each passing day”, he argued.
