Islamabad, Dec 10: All Parties Hurriyat Conference (M) Pak chapter has expressed serious concern over what it termed as deteriorating human rights situation in Kashmir and urged the United Nations to appoint a special representative to monitor situation in the region
During a seminar organised by the amalgam to mark the World Human Rights Day, the speakers demanded immediate end to what they termed as gross violation of human rights allegedly perpetrated by forces.
“India should revoke the black laws enforced in the State which are in contravention to the international law. In view of the deteriorating human rights situation in Kashmir, the United Nations should appoint a special representative to monitor situation in the region,” they said.
The function was chaired by the amalgam’s convener, Mehmood Ahmad Saghar and attended by many others including Sheikh Muhammad Yaqoob and Manzoor-ul- Haq Butt.
